A backup plan is a set of rules that specify how the given data will be protected on a given machine.
A backup plan can be applied to multiple machines at the time of its creation, or later.

To create a backup plan: 

1.Login into your client area

  • click "backup" tab to access Veesp Backup control panel.
  • click "click here to access Control Panel". 
  • click "Backup & Disaster Recovery" to open control panel.


2. Select the machines that you want to back up. Click Backup.


The software displays a new backup plan template with parameters that are to be adjusted to your needs:

  • "New backup plan" click it to change it to a desired name, for example "1st plan".
  • "What to back up" click it to specify what to backup - a)"entire machine" b)"disks/volumes" c)"files/folders"
  • "Where to back up" click it to specify the destination where you want to back up, choose "Cloud Storage" as a default parameter.
  • "Schedule" click to adjust the time and frequency to run the backup. By default it is set to a daily basis, Monday to Friday.
  • "How long to keep" - click it to set the retention rule, how long the backup is stored depending on frequency of the backup is done.
  • "Encryption" - define whether your backup will be encrypted.  It is recommended that you encrypt all backups, however please note that there is no way to recover encrypted backups if you lose or forget the password.
  • "Convert to VM" - click it to set up a conversion to a virtual machine in a backup plan. Use paragraph #5.8.2 of the full, detailed and updated guide.

3. Click Create.


To apply an existing backup plan:

1.Select the machines that you want to back up.
2.Click Backup. If a common backup plan is already applied to the selected machines, click Add
backup plan.

The software displays previously created backup plans.

3. Select a backup plan to apply.
4. Click Apply.
