You can choose to upgrade certain aspects of your Custom dedicated servers, such as:

  • Network bandwidth
  • The number of IPv4 addresses
  • Routed IPv6 subnets
  • Amount of system memory
  • Storage devices

Bandwidth, the amount of IP addresses and Memory can be increased by pressing the "upgrade/downgrade" button in the server dashboard. Storage devices can be upgraded/replace/added via a customer service request.

Do note that storage device upgrades are limited to the form factor of your server, and servers deployed with the "Up to 2 SSD drives" option, only support SSD devices, HDD devices cannot be installed in them

Upgrades are requested via a support ticket and are considered and performed on a case-by-case basis.

Possible upgrade paths for regular dedicated servers include:

  • Upgrades from one Dedicated server plan to a higher one within the same category (i.e. from Medium32 to Medium64)
  • Adding additional storage devices
  • Upgrading the current storage devices to larger capacity ones

Additionally, Custom Dedicated servers can have their RAM capacity changed (Max possible amount is platform dependant. Please contact our support to inquire the highest possible amount of RAM for your specific server).

Please note that presently all of our regular Dedicated server platforms are limited to 4 storage devices (HDD or SSD) per platform.

Dedicated server upgrades are performed at a previously agreed upon time during our business hours (10:00-18:00 GMT+3), and depending on the type of upgrade may involve server downtime.

(info) Older dedicated servers that have reached their EOL and are not currently available for sale in our store might have limited or no upgrade options. You can inquire more by contacting our customer support.

(info) Instant dedicated servers are deployed "as is" and their hardware cannot be customized or upgraded, but you can upgrade their bandwidth and purchase additional IPv4 addresses.
